At the end of this course you will be able to:
Create a company in MYOB. Know what a chart of account is -
balance sheet and profit and loss accounts. See how a Goods and
Services Tax works. Set up GST codes. Different ways to change the
chart of accounts, adding, removing, editing. Create customer and
supplier cards and enter opening balances.
Create inventory items and enter opening balances. Day to day transactions,
receipts, payments, Sales invoices/orders for service/stock/professional.
Supplier invoices/orders etc. See what is happening behind the scene when
these transactions take place.
Find transactions, change transactions, delete transactions. Use
MYOB analyst. Use the 'To Do List'. Use the Inquiry register.
Customise
an invoice form. Back-up and Restore data files. Do a bank reconciliation.
Print reports - balance sheet, profit and loss, GST reports for
the Australian Business Activity Statement, aged debtors, aged creditors,
inventory summery etc.. Enter the opening trial balance, write off
bad debts. Do a depreciation journal. What goes where on the
BAS.

Use manuals and on-line help to solve operational problems relevant
to software package used. Generate sales invoices for goods and
services sold. Record customer receipts, analyze sales and print
statements. Use appropriate functions to record purchases by the
business.
Process cash payments and cash receipts and prepare a bank reconciliation.
Bank undeposited funds. Use the inventory function. Process
Purchase orders and supplier bills. Generate reports
required by the business. e.g. balance sheet, profit and loss, receivables
reconciliation, GST detail report, Undertake file management procedures
eg backup and restore data files.
See how GST works on a cash and accrual basis. How to set up

At the end of this course you will be able to:
Use the Banking Command Centre in a variety of ways to manage
your business more efficiently. Enter GST transactions, adjustments
including pay an account for GST only, account for private use when
the bill is paid or at the end of the quarter, pay a vendor without
an ABN number and print GST reports. GST codes and where to use
them. Enter a cheque received with Recipient created tax invoice
( back charges ). Use contact logs and identifiers.
Customise/Design reports. Enter overpayments, refunds and contra
entries. Handle deposits on sales orders. Use the auto-build-manufacturing
feature. Enter inventory adjustments and transfers. Work in two
financial years and start a new financial year.
Use job management in different ways - for different cost centres/
branches, the reimbursable feature on jobs and marking up materials
etc. Enter budgets for general ledger accounts and job management. Set up
your MYOB data file with password protection. Print batch reports.
